A celebration of the Afrikaans art song, featuring new settings and beloved works that capture the landscape, language, and spirit of the Karoo. This production brings poetry, art song, and the "luisterliedjie" together in a deeply moving concert experience.


Following major success at the KKNK and a tour through the Karoo, Gauteng audiences now have a final opportunity to experience this highly acclaimed production.

Die Karoo Kunslied forms part of KLINK: Klank in Ink, an innovative collaboration between the University of South Africa (UNISA)’s Department of Afrikaans and Theory of Literature and Franco Prinsloo Productions (FPP). ’n Viering van die Afrikaanse kunslied, met nuwe toonsettings en geliefde werke wat die landskap, taal en siel van die Karoo vasvang. Hierdie produksie bring poësie, kunslied en die luisterliedjie saam in ’n diep en roerende konsertbelewenis.


Na ’n reuse-sukses by die KKNK en ’n toer deur die Karoo, kry Gautengse gehore nou ’n laaste geleentheid om hierdie hooggeprysde produksie te ervaar.
